  • African hair is diverse and unique just like fingerprints.
  • We have different hair texture- no two hair is the same. Even twins have different hair texture and different coil patterns.
  • Hair grows slightly faster in warm weather, because heat stimulates circulation and encourages hair growth. Beautiful for the season.. And for the sisters on curly hair, the heat makes our hair curlier and the wind just adds stunning volume.. So beautiful!
  • The rate of our hair growth depends on several factors such as physical and mental health, diet, hair and scalp regimen and genetics.

  • It hurts when combed- natural/unprocessed hair can feel the same as a relaxed/processed hair.
  • The most common causes of breakage are heat, harsh chemicals, tight hairstyles and rough treatment.
  • Too frequent manipulation ( combing, brushing, tugging, pulling etc) can lead to increased breakage.
  • Even healthy hair is prone to getting split ends, so be sure to check your hair for them regularly.
  • Hair doesn't have vitamins-so speed up your vitamin intake.
  • This is the part which many don't like to hear of..but then..it is high maintenance. From products not always working as they should, to styles not turning out well, natural hair can be real struggle. The truth is, natural hair will teach you how to be PATIENT! Love that right
